(Photos by Britt Aamodt unless otherwise noted). by Britt Aamodt MINNEAPOLIS – Maybe the fascination with old beautiful objects began with the fire sale. “So my friend’s dad hired four of us to throw away the clothes and whatever was damaged by the fire,” Christian Johnson said, seated in his office in what used to be the Land O’ Nod mattress factory in Northeast Minneapolis. Johnson’s friend’s dad was a banker, and the property and nearly Christian Johnson, a longtime antiques buff, has scrounged local antiques everything in it had shops and shows to create a distinctly different look for each of his four been ravaged by fire.
